Airfoundation Rotterdam organised in collaboration with Woonstad Rotterdam an expert meeting based on our experiences with the medicare. A group of twenty experts from various disciplines, among which architecture historicians and developers, debated on the implementing program for the unwanted in existing neighborhoods. Groups in society like drug addicts, or homeless people are desperately in need of facilities in the urban environment. Developing such facilities have a tendency to immediately trigger protest among the inhabitants of the neighborhood is is planned for. In the case of the medicare this has not been the case. Which were the decisive factors in this succes?
